The project was a direct response to repeated resolutions from the Lambeth Conference calling for the Anglican Communion to “listen to the voices” of LGBT Anglicans and was part of the work and witness of Claiming the Blessing — an intentional collaborative of organizations and individuals within the Episcopal Church advocating for full inclusion of all the baptized in all sacraments of the church.

Premiering during General Convention 2006 in Columbus, Ohio the documentary was distributed to every bishop and deputy and won a Polly Bond Award of Excellence in 2006 from Episcopal Communicators.

Filmed on location here at All Saints Church and produced by All Saints’ parishioner Louise Brooks, Voices of Witness continues to serve as witness to the power of God’s love working in and through the LGBTQ faithful as we continue to work toward the yet-unrealized goal of full inclusion.
