Orange has become the defining color of the gun violence prevention movement. Whether it’s worn by students in Montana or activists in New York … or All Saints members in Pasadena .. the color orange honors the more than 100 lives cut short and the hundreds more wounded by gun violence everyday.
The movement to end gun violence gains momentum when gun sense activists come together to fight for a future free from gun violence. Wear Orange Weekend is an opportunity for us to show the country just how powerful we are.
National Gun Violence Awareness Day is the first Friday in June, which will be June 7 in 2019.
That weekend — together with hundreds of thousands of Americans — we will turn America orange as we pledge to continue to do the life-saving work drawing us closer to realizing a future free from gun violence. Together we will continue to wear orange to be seen, and demand that we be heard.
On Saturday, June 8th, 11 am – 2 pm on the quad lawn all are welcome to join the All Saints Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and San Gabriel Valley Moms Demand Action for a Wear Orange event dedicated to honoring the lives of those in our community affected by gun violence and to elevating the voice of all who demand an end to gun violence.
We’ll have art, community partners, speakers, and tamales. Join us … and Don’t forget to Wear Orange!
