On Sunday, August 13, at the 10:00 a.m. service all children and youth are invited to bring your backpack or favorite school supply to church to be blessed, as we also bless all the school supplies collected for Families in Transition. We also invite everyone — children & youth, parents, teachers, administrators, staff, bus drivers, coaches, room parents, school board members — anyone who works in any capacity for schools/education to come to the chancel and be blessed to kick off the new school year! This special blessing is for all who teach and all who learn and all whose labors make teaching and learning possible. It is a beautiful way to begin the new year!
