Christy Stickney (’30)

  • Title : Vestry

Christy Lynn Stickney (she/her), with her husband Scott and two boys, Benji and Toby, first walked into ASC in July 2022, the day after they landed in the San Gabriel Valley — still jet-lagged and after more than twenty years overseas. Almost immediately, it felt like home. “We found a community marked by heartfelt worship, genuine welcome, and a faith that is alive and outward-looking,” she said. “What I treasure most about ASC is its commitment to radical inclusion — not just tolerating difference, but joyfully embracing and celebrating all of God’s people. This feels deeply faithful to the gospel we proclaim.” Christy sees ASC’s leadership holding a sacred tension: nurturing a growing congregation hungry for spiritual depth, while also shepherding a prophetic community willing to speak truth and embody love beyond our walls. “I’m especially grateful for the church’s growing ministry with children, youth and families. I long to see our sanctuary filled with young people — not only because they are the future of the church, but because their voices, questions, and hope already shape who we are becoming.” Christy is Global Director of Inclusive Finance at VisionFund International, a division of World Vision International. She served as president of her church board in Costa Rica, is an avid tennis player (doubles), and loves supporting her teenage boys who sing in Trouveres and Vox Cambiata, and are acolytes. She is also a former member of All Saints’ CYF Committee.
