Mark Moreno (’29)

  • Title : Vestry

Mark Moreno’s (he/him) journey at All Saints began in 1993 when he and his brother Richard first attended a Sunday service preached by George Regas. Mark found All Saints to be welcoming and inclusive, and was so happy his brother, who was in the late stages of his battle with AIDS, had a community in Southern California. Mark returned to All Saints with his soon-to-be-wife, Nicole, in 2013. He participated in the New Members class and in early 2014 was confirmed at All Saints. Mark was part of the PACES (Planning and Campus Enrichment Strategies) sub-committee during 2019-2020. He was instrumental in the design and realization of the children’s playground, designed the Action Table banner with his wife, and periodically serves with her as a greeter. Mark was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is an architect by training, a graduate of UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design, and over the past 30 years he has held positions within the practices of Frank Israel, Richard Meier and Frank Gehry. Mark designed and oversaw the construction of the Watermarke tower in DTLA, an iconic 35-story mixed-use high-rise. He is passionate about making the personal experience at All Saints campus more accessible to persons with physical and visual disabilities.
