No Kings Day of Action: Saturday, October 18

No Kings Day of Action: Saturday, October 18 | 1:00-3:00pm
Pasadena City Hall (100 Garfield Ave) West steps and Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA

On Saturday, October 18th All Saints Church will join millions of Americans across the country at the second No Kings Day of Action. The event is part of a nationwide day of nonviolent protest to defend the rule of law, organized locally by San Gabriel Foothills Indivisible.

Standing up and speaking for democracy, due process, and dignity for all is in alignment with our parish value of Courageous Justice and our baptismal promise to strive for peace and justice, respecting the dignity of every human being. Join us as we put our faith into action and join with all those aspiring to make liberty and justice for all not just a pledge we make but a reality we live.

All Saints members and friends are invited to gather near the south tower steps at 12:30 pm and join the assembly across the street at City Hall for the rally which begins at 1:00 p.m.

Scheduled speakers will include:
·         Dr. Dottie Escobedo-Frank (Resident Bishop of the UMC California-Pacific Conference)
·         Dr. Sara Sadhwani (Pomona College professor and member of the California 2020 Citizens Redistricting Commission)
·         Congresswoman Judy Chu
·         State Senator Sasha Renee Perez
·         Mayor Victor Gordo

All No Kings events adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety. Organizers are trained in de-escalation and are working closely with local partners to ensure peaceful and powerful actions nationwide.
