All Saints Church has seen many Homecoming Sundays over the years, but none like this year — a year when we are separated from each other by geography yet bound together by the Spirit that calls us into our shared mission of radical inclusion, courageous justice, joyful spirituality and ethical stewardship.
On Sunday, September 20 we celebrate those values with a Homecoming Sunday like no other — giving thanks for the history we share and the future we look forward to — while we stand together in this present moment.
We are thrilled to announce we will be live-streaming from the church this week. Although we cannot yet return to the sacred space of All Saints Church for congregational worship, for the first time since March, ministers of the liturgy will be able to stream worship from the church instead of from their offices and dining rooms — observing the social distance and safety protocols dictated by health care professionals and in compliance with our diocesan guidelines.
And while we all long for the time when we can safely return for in person congregational worship, being able to center our online service in our familiar and beloved sanctuary is one step toward that eventual goal.
9:00 – 10:30 a.m. – Drive-by Commissioning of the Congregation – Commissioning members of the congregation for the work and witness of being All Saints Church in the program year ahead is a longstanding tradition we are adapting for this time of social distancing. Before our festive Homecoming service begins, simply drive by the front of the church on Euclid (remain in your car) — and receive a commissioning and greeting from members of the ASC staff!
11:00 a.m. – Pre-service Chapel Opportunities
Children’s Chapel with Kelly Erin O’Phelan – Kelly Erin will lead chapel from “the rug” in the chapel at All Saints Church this week!
Meditation Chapel with Amy Brenneman – Join Amy in the “Zoom Chapel” for a time of meditation, music and reflection. Link goes live at 10:45 a.m.

11:15 a.m. One Service Only (English/Spanish) – For the first time since March, Sunday worship will be streamed from the Church! Mike Kinman preaches. Canterbury & Coventry Choirs, Dan Cole & ensemble and Trouvères offer music.
Virtual Coffee Hour follows the service with an update on new Small Group ministry options and offerings.
The link is different this week as we return to the sacred space of All Saints and is located on the Live Stream page on the website: https://allsaints-pas.org/live-stream/
We are grateful for the technology that lets us be together across the miles and for the opportunity to remember some of our past as we continue to imagine the future we will build together. Whoever you are and wherever you find yourself on the journey of faith join us on Sunday, September 20 for a Homecoming Sunday like no other. Welcome home!
