Trouvères youth choir and Canterbury Choir offer Cantata 140, Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme by Johann Sebastian Bach, with soloists Julia Hwang, Stephen McDonough and Michal Connor. Bach’s masterful cantata perfectly captures the urgency and hope of the Advent message. The choirs will also offer The Rose by Ola Gjeilo, a beautiful, modern piece that offers a contemplative contrast, evoking the serene imagery of the season, and O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen.
