Write Postcards to Increase Voter Turnout
Democracy works best when everyone can participate in the process. For this midterm election, All Saints Church ensure voters in voter-suppression states know their voices – and their votes – matter by writing 1,000 postcards to voters of color in North Carolina and Georgia.
We have worked in our Sacred Being, Sacred Ground, and Beloved Community Circles sessions to build relationships and a greater understanding among ourselves about racial and ethnic justice, and the intersectionality of our multiple identities.
Now, together, we are ready to engage in collaborative work that gives deeper meaning to becoming a beloved community. We are partnering with the Center for Common Ground, anon-partisan, Black and women-led voting rights organization founded in 2018 that focuses on voter suppression in states where more than 20% of voters are voters of color (Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas).

Wednesday, September 16, 6:30–8:30 p.m. in the Forum
• We will provide postcards, addresses, scripts, guidelines and best practices.
• Please bring your own pens and postcard stamps if possible.
• We invite you to support these efforts by donating money for stamps if you are unable to write cards.
