It is when things are at their worst that the best emerges from the human spirit. At All Saints Church, we walk with a revolutionary Jesus who leads with love … and so will we. As we take this journey together … whoever you are and wherever you find yourself … know that we will be guided, as always by the core values of this community. For such a time as this, these values remind us not only who we are, but who in joy we are called to be.

We will love each other through this. This page will give you resources to be together on the journey. And here are the values that will guide us:

Radical Inclusion
Create safe spaces – physical and virtual — for all people to come together in a variety of ways | Attend to how this virus is affecting different populations and individuals | Prioritize staying connected as a community and helping all in need.

Courageous Justice
Rely on medical facts, make decisions that support informed public health decisions | Act in ways that prioritize safety of those most vulnerable | Continue to guarantee wages and benefits for all ASC workers and work to mitigate the economic impact on those most vulnerable.

Joyful Spirituality
Lead with love. Ground ourselves in hope | Continue to provide opportunities for prayer, worship and celebration in any circumstance | Maintain and cultivate our sense of humor.

Ethical Stewardship
Be realistic and clear about what we can and can’t do | Collaborate with community organizations and faith groups | Care for the caregivers

Caring for those most vulnerable

In addition to encouraging people to continue to support the important ministry of All Saints Church, each week we will be raising money for a local agency that serves the most vulnerable in our community.

We are continuing to collect items for another #PartnerInLove, Learning Works Charter School (http://www.publicworksinc.org/lw/). Donations of toilet paper, hand sanitizer, soap, paper towels, diapers, baby wipes, formula, rice, beans, cereal, juice boxes, canned fruits/veggies and peanut butter are most needed.

On Sunday morning, the Food Table will stay open with volunteers offering gift cards from Ralph’s so those among us who depend on us for food on Sunday will continue to be fed.

The Monday morning food ministry will continue, and we will adapt to necessary safety guidelines.

Congregational Response & Community Care

The All Saints Church Congregational Response Team (CRT) was formed in response to the increasing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our community. The CRT’s mission is to keep our community connected and cared for in ways that expand beyond the clergy, staff, and operations of the pastoral care office. A diverse and growing group of lay volunteers are proactively reaching out and offering support; connecting resources to those in need; and caring for emotional and mental health needs through the lens of trauma-informed care through the CRT’s Community Care Team.

The Community Care Team (CCT) is prepared to help those experiencing trauma as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, including (but not limited to): those who have been diagnosed with the virus; healthcare professionals; those who are suffering a loss; those who are facing job loss and unemployment; those who are feeling isolated or depressed. The CCT will connect individuals with resources at All Saints and in the wider community, as well as offer a side-by-side companionship program to accompany people with their resources and provide emotional support as we journey together through these times.

If you have an immediate need, please call the Community Care Team via the pastoral care line at (626) 298-9551 or email acamacho@allsaints-pas.org.

If you would like to volunteer or have questions about the Congregational Response Team, please contact Christine Hartman at christine@icehatcreative.com.

Children, Youth and Families

The youth of All Saints Church have setup an online community so that we can all stay connected during this time. We’ll gather online during our regular meeting times as well as any other time you’d like. To get access to the server, please contact Nina at nscherer@allsaints-pas.org.

We’re also on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ascyouthpasadena/) and Instagram (ascyouthpasadena).

For our Children and Youth Choir Program, we will cancel rehearsals until further notice.  Jenny is planning on having online choir “meet ups” and “rehearsals” in another week or so and is looking into options on how to achieve this.  She has also begun creating vocal files of the songs and copying the scores so choristers can work from home.  These will be available through Google Docs sometime later next week.  All Sunday morning singing will be cancelled until further notice and rescheduled at a later time.

Community Connectivity

Many groups are meeting online, please contact your ministry or group leader and the ASC website for details. We are working on other ways we can connect online and will keep you updated as they are available.

Thank you for your continued, generous support of your All Saints community during this extraordinarily challenging time. We have made a commitment that all of our staff – salaried, hourly and contracted – will be able to count on the income they are depending on from All Saints Church for the duration of this epidemic. That makes it especially important that pledges are fulfilled in a timely way.

You can make a pledge payment or other gift to All Saints Church online by clicking here – https://allsaints-pas.org/donate/donate-now/.

If your financial circumstances are changing significantly and you need to talk with either our Director of Giving and Stewardship, Terry Knowles (tknowles@allsaints-pas.org) or our Rector (MKinman@allsaints-pas.org), please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our staff is working from home right now and our capacity is limited as we adjust to this new way of being. Thank you for your patience .. and for stepping up and helping All Saints Church lead in love.
