Sermon @ 11:30 a.m., on Sunday, November 14, 2021: Let’s Go Crazy

The revolutionary Jesus I know dances on tables with her heels in her hand and stumbles back home as the sun creeps over the horizon. The revolutionary Jesus I know dances furiously, seductively, with abandon, with joy. The revolutionary Jesus I know knows the feelings that come with dancing and that come from watching each other dance can be scary because they are so powerful … and that is precisely why they are holy.

When was the last time you danced?  Has it been hours?  Days?  Months?  Years? Has it been too long?  Are you ready to dance again?”

Sermon by Mike Kinman from worship at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at All Saints Church, Pasadena. Readings: Psalm 89:1-8, 14 and John 2:1-11. Read the text of the sermon here.

(music by Prince used at the end of the sermon has been muted because of copyright restrictions, but the dancing is awesome!)

Forum @ 10:15 a.m., Sunday, November 14, 2021: Celebrating Juliana

On Sunday, November 14, 2021, Juliana Serrano returned to All Saints so we could celebrate her decade of service as Senior Associate for Peace and Justice and Director of the Office of Creative Connections. In the Forum at 10:15 a.m., Juliana gave us an update on the work she has been doing at Planned Parenthood (as Vice President of Advocacy and Equity) as well as the Police Civilian Oversight Board … and we reminisced, celebrated and gave her the send-off we weren’t able to do in July.
