Homecoming 2026: Expanding the Circle of Truth, Belonging, and Hope
On Homecoming Sunday, September 13 we will gather to celebrate the start of a new program year, the gift of community, and the joy of being together again. And we will gather to tell the truth as we dedicate a plaque lamenting our participation in the sin of Jim Crow segregation and a time when not all were welcomed home at All Saints Church. We believe that truth-telling is a sacred act, and that the path to beloved community begins with honest remembrance. Not because it leaves us in the past, but because it opens the way for repentance, healing, and the future God dreams for the church: a home where every beloved child of God is truly welcome in that beloved community of belonging. And because coming home is not simply a return to what was. It is a renewal of relationship and community, all with the promise to deepen our understanding of what was and share in the crafting of what has yet to be.
