All Saints Welcomes The Reverend Nancy Frausto

The Reverend Nancy Frausto is the Associate Rector at Luke’s Episcopal in Long Beach, a founding member of the Diocese of Los Angeles Sanctuary Task Force and a Dreamer (DACA recipient). A powerful preacher, teacher and witness to the power of God’s liberating love she is the Diocese of Los Angeles’ first Latina leader to have grown up in a Spanish speaking Episcopal Church and pursued ordination.

From Pat McCaughan’s 2017 ENS feature on the Episcopal Church’s support for DACA: “Nancy grew up attending All Saints’ Episcopal Church in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles where she was a popular youth leader. Because of her undocumented status, she was unable to apply for financial aid for college, so the church created a scholarship fund and assisted her education. In 2013, she was named an Episcopal Church Foundation Fellow, and she is popular at conferences for speaking about “scrappy” or struggling churches. She also serves as a consultant evangelist for the Presiding Bishop’s Office on Evangelism.”

We are thrilled to welcome Nancy as our preacher at 9:00, 11:15 and 1:00 p.m. — and as our presenter in the Rector’s Forum at 10:15 a.m. where she will speak on Cutting Through the Evil “isms” and Getting Back to Jesus.”

If you can’t be with us in person join us via live stream for the Forum at 10:15am and the service at 11:15am

Between the 11:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. we will stand together as a congregation for all DACA recipients and in support of a clean Dream Act with a photo witness on the quad lawn. Stay after the 11:15 a.m. or come early for the 1:00 p.m. as All Saints Stands With Dreamers.
